Dominican Republic : Carne De Res Guisada

This beef stew is relatively simple to make and nearly all of the ingredients are easy to find. I did have to make one substitution, in place of the Cubanelle pepper, which I can't find locally, I used an Anaheim pepper. Google said they were comparable and it tasted great so it worked out!
I ate this over basmati rice and enjoyed it. I accidentally forgot to add the cilantro and ate a few bites without it and it was just as good without as it was with so, if you are not a fan of cilantro, you could leave it out and still enjoy it. I would definitely make this again. And I will eat the leftovers for dinner tonight. :)
